How we create your TwinPilot
We create individual scale pilots, looking just as you, or the person, you want to have sculpted. To do that we use state of the art technology and dedicated craftmanship.
DIGITAL SCULPTING
Basing on Photos we sculpt a three-dimensional Image of the desired head. This is also known as digital sculpting.
A big advantage of sculpting is, that other than with scan technologies we do not need to have our customers come over for a scan session. Photos can be done easily by each customer and then be sent via email. This allows us to also provide this service to more remote customers.
MANUFACTURING OF AN INDIVIDUAL HEAD
Once the 3D-data is done, they need to be postprocessed for 3D-printing. This technology enables us mass cutom production of scale pilots with individual heads and in different scales. There is no need for molding, each head is 3D-printed. Minimal layer structures therefor are no quality issue, but typical for this innovative technology. After printing the surface is finished to receive a sophisticated airbrush painting. The only way to feature realistic skin tones.
BODY, CLOTHING, ACCESSORIES
Our dedication to the detail does not end with the pilots head. Hands and Shoes are digitally sculpted and 3D-printed as well.
The body is made from a light and soft OEKO-Tex 100 certified foam and features a bendable skeleton enabling different postures.
The clothing is a very important part of a scale pilot. There is no other way than elaborate sewing.
For accessories like glasses, headsets etc. we use modern technologies like laser-cutting, 3D-printing. etc. In the beginning we have to start with professional CAD design every time.
